Institution

Prometheus Global Media
I think that this institution is the best fit for my magazine because they are the institution for one of the best mainstream magazines around which is Billboard. Prometheus GM is based in New York and its magazines are sold in over 100 countries around the world. This would mean that my magazine has a great chance of success because it is with this institution as they are very successful in the things they do because Billboard has won many awards, also because Prometheus GM is based in New York it has the best chance to be publicized to the world because New York is one of the busiest places in the world and a lot of music related items such as albums are advertised there for millions of people to see. Also they could advertise my magazine with the other magazine that they produce such as the Hollywood reporter. So this is why i think that Prometheus GM is the best institution for my magazine.

  1. Tarun;
    Some good ideas so far. More finesse needed, as Mr Fors said. Look at links to past blogs to see what a Level 4 ‘looks like’

    • With your feedback from Mr Ford, please alter your post to HOW and WHAT you will do, like an action plan, to improve what you have done already.
    • With the Institution, HOW and WHAT do you see Prometheus doing to promote your magazine? Blog about how magazines are publicized and where would be appropriate for your intended audience to learn about your fresh new magazine and what it is all about
    • Your blog style needs work ; the tranquil sea scape is nice BUT does it fit your genre? Is it ‘street’ and ‘hip’ etc? Customise your blog to showcase what your magazine is going to be all about; perhaps use some of the colours you have outlined in your pitch etc.
    • Do some research into styling as this is an area we discussed in class that you were concerned about. Lookbook and other style or clothing websites will enable you to get a feel for how you want your artist to look
    • WHY those songs on the playlist? What sort of ‘vibe’ do they have? Will your intended audience like them all?
